The Embassy of the Republic of the Sudan in Abuja has issued an important guidance notice for Sudanese students, residents in Nigeria, and authorized representatives regarding updated regulations for authenticating academic, civil, and commercial documents.
The statement clarifies that any document issued within Nigeria must first obtain endorsement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria in Abuja prior to submission to the Embassy’s Consular Section.
Conversely, documents originated in Sudan require prior verification by the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This regulatory measure aims to safeguard citizens' legal interests and prevent delays caused by incomplete documentation. The Embassy stresses that non-compliant applications will not be processed following the publication of this notice.
