About the Embassy

The Embassy of the Republic of the Sudan in the Federal Republic of Nigeria is the official diplomatic mission mandated to represent the Republic of the Sudan in Nigeria, to safeguard and advance Sudan's national interests, and to protect and serve Sudanese nationals residing in or visiting Nigeria. The Embassy is responsible for strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries across political, economic, and cultural spheres, and for providing consular services to citizens of both nations.

Sudan and Nigeria share longstanding historical and cultural ties rooted in centuries of interaction, migration, and mutual cooperation as prominent members of the African continent. The two nations maintain active diplomatic engagement, with regular high-level exchanges between officials of both governments. Nigeria has consistently affirmed its support for peace, stability, and the wellbeing of the Sudanese people, while the two countries continue to explore avenues for strengthening cooperation on matters of mutual interest, including through joint consultative mechanisms between the two foreign ministries.

As part of its diplomatic mandate, the Embassy provides essential consular services — including passport issuance and renewal, visa processing, and document authentication — to Sudanese nationals in Nigeria and to Nigerian citizens seeking to travel to or engage with the Republic of the Sudan.
